Description:
Outside of Israel, New York is home to the largest Jewish population in the world. Like the metropolitan area, our Jewish community embraces a rich mix of nationalities, each with its own interests and concerns. Because there is strength in a single voice, the Jewish Community Relations was founded to protect and defend Jewish interests. But as important as it is to build from within, we must also reach outside our community to other religious and ethnic groups as well as to key opinion makers. Today the JCRC speaks for more than 60 major Jewish organizations, from local chapters of national civic, educational and religious agencies to neighborhood-based community councils. You might say we represent the splendid diversity of Jewish New York.
