Description:
Queens College has one of the largest Jewish populations in the country! Hillel facilitates a wide range of social, cultural, religious, and Israel-related programs. These programs include Jam Sessions, Jewish Theater ensemble, Hillel Sports League, Chaverim, AIPAC, B'nai Akiva, Council of Jewish Organizations, United Jewish Appeal, Mitnadvim Volunteer program, Koach-Conservative Jewish program, the Reform Club, the Sephardic Club, the Russian/Bucharian Club, the Persian Club, and the Israeli Club. Students come to Hillel to hang out and talk, plan programs and meet in the large lounge located on the second floor of the Student Union Building. Queens College enrolls over 14,000 students, 4,000 of whom are Jewish. Queens College also serves as the center of service to St. John's University, York College, Queensborough Community College,and LaGuardia Community College.
